Woman gangraped in Batala

A married woman has been allegedly gangraped by four persons at Kiri Afgana village, police said here on Tuesday.

The 24-year-old woman was raped by four persons when she went to see her husband, a labourer, on the intervening night of January 26- 27. The victim was taken to the nearby fields by the four accused, who raped her and they threatened to kill her if she raised an alarm, victim's mother said in her complaint to the police on January 28.

The police has registered a case of rape against Mandeep Masih, Tarlab Singh, Harpreet Singh and Jassi on the complaint of the victim's mother.

However, no arrest has been made in this connection, police said.
