Police arrested another accused in the gym owner's murder case. The accused has been identified as Deepak Kumar alias Neelu of Haibowal Khurd. The police had been carrying out raids to arrest the accused for the past three months.

With the arrest of Neelu, nine accused have been arrested in the case so far, while three accused are still absconding. The police have launched a manhunt for the arrest of rest of the accused.

Sub-inspector Surinder Chopra, station house officer of the PAU police station, said Neelu was one of the main accused in the murder conspiracy. He was driving the vehicle in which the accused had come to kill gym owner-cum-trainer Honey Sharma on August 30.

It has been learnt that unidentified killers had bludgeoned Honey to death outside his gym Shape-X in the Rishi Nagar area, when he was about to leave the place. The PAU police had registered a case of murder in this context.

The police claimed to have solved the murder case on September 3 with the arrest of Gaurav Kumar alias Gora, Jatinder Kumar, Abhishek Malhotra alias Kala and Pramod Kumar of Rishi Nagar, all accomplices of key accused Raju Berry of Dev Nagar. Other accused, including Berry, were arrested later by the police.

The SHO said Berry had suspected illicit relations between his wife and Honey, so he had hatched a conspiracy to kill him.
