At 98.2%, Babita Singla tops in district

In the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class-12 results declared on Wednesday, Babita Singla, a student of BCM School, Basant City, came first in the district across all streams with 98.2% in commerce.

In the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class-12 results declared on Wednesday, Babita Singla, a student of BCM School, Basant City, came first in the district across all streams with 98.2% in commerce.

She was followed by Kartikey Shahi, who topped the non-medical stream in the district, scoring 97.4%. Shahi is a student of Sacred Heart Convent School, Sarabha Nagar.

In the medical stream, Gursimran Singh Anand of Guru Nanak Public School, Sara bha Nagar, topped the district with 97%.

Anand was also declared the region topper by the CBSE in his Class-10 results and had witnessed the Republic Day Parade from the President’s Box in New Delhi in 2013.

In humanities stream, Taman a Rai of BCM Arya Model Senior Secondary School, Shastri Nagar, scored 96.2%.

The second topper in commerce stream is Samridhi Goyal who has scored 98% and is a student of BCM Senior Secondary School, Sector 32, Chandigarh Ro a d , f o l l o we d by Aatish Bhatia of BCM Arya Model Senior Secondary School, Shastri Nagar, and Sahibdeep Singh of DAV Public School, Pakhowal Road, who scored 97.8% each.

In humanities stream, the second position is shared by two students — Keyuri Kataria of BCM Arya Model Senior Secondary School, Shastri Nagar, and Simran Sidhu of Sacred Heart Convent School, Sarabha Nagar, wi t h 9 6 %. The third position is bagged by Anmol Rai of BCM Arya Model Senior Secondary School, Shastri Nagar, who scored 95.8%.

In the non-medical stream, the second topper in the district i s Rohan Jain of Greenland Senior Secondary Public School, Jalandhar Bypass, with 97% and Parteek Chopra of BCM Arya Model Senior Secondary School, Shastri Nagar, stood third with 96.8%.

In the medical stream the second position was a tie between t wo s tudent s of the Sacred Heart Convent School, Sarabha Nagar, — Mannat Kaur Bhatia and Puneet Kaur with 96.8%. Pulkit Jindal of Spring Dale Senior Secondary School and Ravneet Gill of Guru Nanak Public School, Sarabha Nagar, shared the third position by scoring 95.4%.
