Rock Garden creator Nek Chand’s son, Anuj Saini, was asked to leave the venue moments before Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President Francois Hollande arrived, triggering outrage.

Saini was seen waiting inside the garden before security personnel asked him to leave as his name did not figure on the guest list.

Saini has called the incident “unfortunate”. “It is sad that I was asked to leave,” he told HT.

The incident also sparked outrage on the internet, with Twitterati directing their anger at PM Modi.

But others said it was all right that Saini was asked to leave.
