A day after the iconic Maruti WagonR (DL 9C G 9769) of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convener Arvind Kejriwal was damaged in Rohtak, the rookie party has asked district administration to arrest the perpetrators by Tuesday night else they would stage a dharna outside chief minister’s local residence here.
Two unidentified motorcycle-borne miscreants had smashed its windshield on Monday night.
Fortunately, no one sustained injuries in the incident. AAP’s Rohtak nominee Naveen Jaihind had got down from the vehicle 10 minutes before the incident. Party spokesperson Bhupinder Kumar said that they had met Rohtak range inspector general of police Anil Kumar Rao, who assured arrest of the accused at the earliest.
Kumar said if police failed nab the culprits by Tuesday night, party activists would stage a sit-in in front of chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda’s local residence. He said that they can’t pinpoint the suspects, but political hostility could be the reason behind the attack.
Kejriwal had spared his WagonR car for Naveen Jaihind for campaigning.
