During his 40-minute meeting, the CLP leader told Rahul Gandhi that Congress was comfortably placed to “form the government” despite the possibility of four-cornered contest emerging in the upcoming assembly polls, according to a press release.

Channi also briefed Rahul about the plan to start “cycle yatra” in Punjab from September 27, covering all the 117 constituencies in three phases. Punjab Congress president Capt Amarinder Singh will flag off the yatra.
The main issues of the yatra will corruption and unemployment in Punjab in the last 10 years.
The final programme and the constituency wise detail program will be worked out soon in sync with the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) and conveyed to the local representatives. At least 1,000 cyclist will accompany Channi on this yatra in every phase lasting seven days each.
