Baba Farid University of Health Sciences on Saturday conducted its first online entrance test for admission into various postgraduate courses.

As many as 2,126 candidates appeared in the test that was conducted at four centres — Amritsar, Patiala, Jalandhar and SAS Nagar.

“This is the first time that we have conducted an online test for admission into PG courses. Our next aim is to conduct the online test for admission into MBBS and BDS courses,” said BFUHS vice-chancellor Dr Raj Bahadur.

“The online test eliminates the chances of cheating. Also, the result can also be prepared faster and accurately. In fact, we have already started preparing the result of PG exam ,” he added.

Notably, the university has decided to give equal credit to all candidates appearing in the PGET for two questions due to lack of clarity in answer key.
