Dhumal was to fly in a chopper that was to come from Jammu. Sources told HT that the chopper couldn't take off from Jammu. The former Himachal chief minister kept on waiting for three hours at Kangra airport.

"Dhumal's programme was cancelled as the chopper couldn't take off from Jammu and he addressed the rally over phone," said former Kangra MLA Sanjay Chaudhary who was to accompany the former CM.

Several BJP leaders from Himachal are camping in the neighboring state for electioneering. Former state minister Kishan Kapoor was also in J&K for election campaign a few days ago.
