“The role of Badals’ confidant (and Muktsar Akali leader) Dayal Singh Kolianwali in the recruitment scam came out in investigation but the chief minister took not even a minute to issue him a clean chit,” Chhotepur said.

Aam Aadmi party (AAP) Punjab convener Sucha Singh Chhotepur said on Sunday here that chief minister Parkash Singh Badal had broken the record of state Congress president Captain Amarinder Singh — of giving a clean chit to tainted leaders.

“The role of Badals’ confidant (and Muktsar Akali leader) Dayal Singh Kolianwali in the recruitment scam came out in investigation but the chief minister took not even a minute to issue him a clean chit,” Chhotepur said. “Earlier also, the CM absolved Akali leaders, including Sikander Singh Maluka in the book scam, Bibi Jagir Kaur in the murder case of her daughter, and agriculture minister Tota Singh in the pesticides scam.”

Chhotepur said Amarinder also kept similar “clean chits” in his pocket and didn’t think twice before issuing these, “as evident from his giving it to Congress leaders Gurchet Singh Bhullar in the Bikhiwind murder case, Partap Singh Bajwa in the Gujarat sex scandal, and evenKamal Nath in the 1984 anti-Sikh riots.

An impartial probe into the recruitment scam will lead to Badals via Kolianwali, says the AAP leader, recalling that the state vigilance bureau had arrested Malout Akali councillor and Kolianwali aide Sham Lal Daddi in the job scam.
