Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal and leader of Opposition Sunil Kumar Jakhar shared the dais during the former's visit to the Abohar area to meet rain-affected residents on Monday.

During their interaction, Jakhar raised the issue of the long-pending work of revamping the sewerage system in Abohar, for which Rs 71 crore had been cleared by the previous UPA government.

Jakhar also took up the issues of the safe drinking water and the deteriorated road network with the chief minister.

Badal assured the people to take up all the issues and solve their problems in the near future.
