Lok Insaaf Party leader Simarjeet Singh Bains on Saturday said the Badals’ uproar on the SYL issue was meaningless now as they did not pursue the case timely.

Addressing a joint press conference with Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Kartar Singh Pehlwan, Bains said people of Punjab have rejected the Badal family and the Akali Dal as they failed to take legal measures on the SYL Canal, resultantly the Supreme Court ruled in favour of Haryana.

He said if the AAP forms the government in Punjab, it would root out corruption from the system, besides waving farm loans.
