Targeting the SAD-BJP government in Punjab, Indian Youth Congress (YC) president and Congress MLA from Giddarbaha Amrinder Singh Raja Warring said the Badals would meet the fate of the Chautalas.

Speaking on the sidelines of a function in Bathinda on Friday, Warring, who was accompanied by former MLA Harminder Singh Jassi, said: “The people of Punjab have understood that the Akalis have been playing cheap politics in the state.”

“People’s anger against the Akalis is growing in villages as well as on social media and it is the right time for the Singh Badal-led state government to quit,” said Warring. It would be difficult for the CM and his deputy Sukhbir Badal to save their face in their constituencies in assembly elections, he said.

YC to gherao Parliament

The Youth Congress has decided to ghereo Parliament and BJP MPs on November 30 over growing intolerance in the country. Warring said the silence of the Prime Minister over intolerance has raised several questions. “Actors, intellectuals and writers are raising their voice against intolerance but the BJP is supporting its leaders who are giving controversial on the issue,” he added.
