Independent candidate from Talwandi Sabo Balkar Sidhu has accused Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate Baljinder Kaur of making fake documents to take possession of the land of a dead man.
Addressing a press conference at Talwandi Sabo on Sunday evening, Sidhu said, "Baljinder Kaur has two votes in her Jagga Tirath Ram village. In details of one vote, she is the daughter of Darshan Singh and in another vote, she is daughter of a dead man Amarjit Singh."
He said, "Amarjit died unmarried. He had around 3-acre land on his name. Baljinder Kaur and her family planned a conspiracy. After Amarjit died in 2002, an advertisement was issued in newspapers on behalf of Amarjit Singh in 2005 that he had adopted Baljinder Kaur. To create more fake documents, a vote was also made on the name of Baljinder Kaur as daughter of Amarjit Singh."
"All these fake documents were prepared to take possession of the 3-acre agricultural land of Amarjit Singh," alleged Balkar.
"AAP had no proof to cancel my ticket. They just cancelled it on the basis of some verbal allegations. Now, I have been giving a documentary proof against Baljinder Kaur. Will AAP cancel her ticket?"
He alleged that 29-year-old Baljinder Kaur was shown to be 12-year-old in the 2005 newspaper advertisement.
Darshan Singh, father of Baljinder Kaur, claimed that there was no truth in the allegations.
