Taking an inspiration from Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Chaudhary Bansi Lal University, Bhiwani, will adopt five villages to create social, legal, economical, medical and political awareness among the rural people.

This was decided in the first meeting of the academic planning board of the university held under the chairmanship of SK Gakhar, vice-chancellor of the university, on Saturday.

Bhagwan Singh, registrar and member-secretary of the board, said they would start the new courses like LLB (both three and five years), MBA (sports management), MSc (public health), MSc (sports medicine) and MSE (master in social entrepreneurship) from the coming academic session.

"The board also resolved to ensure maximum participation of students in the proposed science conclave to be held on January 18 and 19, which will be inaugurated by governor Kaptan Singh Solanki, who is chancellor of the university," he added.
