Candidates of both Congress-PPP and SAD in the high profile constituency have been served notices by the election officials.
Congress-PPP candidate Manpreet Singh Badal had been served a notice by assistant returning officer of Mansa for inaugurating his office in the Bhikhi block of Mansa district on March 25 without taking permission from the officials.
Similarly, the SAD had been charged Rs 20,000 for holding a meeting at the DD Fort Palace here on March 10 without any permission.
In Bathinda (rural) assembly segment, SAD was charged Rs 200 as expenses for removal of posters after the imposition of the model code of conduct.
In an attempt to leave no stone unturned, Harsimrat has spent 13 times more than her cousin-turned- rival Manpreet from March 5 to 30.
In Bathinda district that covers five assembly segments of the Lok Sabha constituency with 8.14 lakh voters, SAD has spent Rs 12,93,078 on campaigning while in Mansa district, that has 5.38 lakh voters in three assembly segments, the party has spent Rs 13,39,091. The Congress-PPP has spent only Rs 92,975 in Bathinda and Rs 1,11,617 in Mansa district.
