Is it an incomparable Patiala lock, like the Patiala peg ? Not relying upon the Election Commission of India (ECI) for its security arrangements, Punjab Congress chief Captain Amarinder Singh has put his own lock on the doors of the strong room that has the electronic voting machines (EVMs) with the votes polled in Lambi constituency.

The strong room at Institute for Management and Information Technology (MIMIT) at Malout is under strict vigil by the volunteers of the Aam Admi Party (AAP) and the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) as well.

The ECI authorities said that the candidates had a right to have his or her own lock as well at the strong room premises where the paramilitary from the BSF and the cops from the Punjab Armed Police were already deployed in heavy numbers till March 11, the D-day for counting.
