The construction of all the 123 sewa kendras in the district has been completed.
Giving this information, deputy commissioner Basant Garg said these sewa kendras, set up to provide services to the people at the doorsteps, would put an end to woes of the people, as they would not have to go to far-off places for even a minor word in a department.
He said 34 centres are situated in urban areas, while 89 centres are in rural areas. Each centre will cater to 3 to 5 villages.
“The construction of buildings has been completed and the work on providing computers and other necessary equipment and material is on,” Garg said.
He said that these kendras would impart the services being provided at suvidha centres that include registration of arms licences, counter sign, special power of attorney/general power of attorney, copies related to revenue record, marriage registration certificates, driving licences, birth and death certificates, affidavit attestation, surety bond, no-objection Certificates, ration cards, no dues certificate, copies of old records, agriculture, RTI services, late entries (birth and death), residence certificate, caste certificate, urban area certificate etc.
