Bathinda: Tailor booked for raping minor

The police have booked a tailor for allegedly raping a minor girl in Fatehgarh Nau Abad village under the Talwandi Sabo police station.

On a complaint by the girl, who studies in Class-10 and is a resident of Nawan Pind, the police have booked Gurpreet Singh, a resident of Fatehgarh Nau Abad village under Section 376 IPC and the Protection of Children Against Sexual Crimes Act.

The complainant alleged that she had gone to the shop of the accused on Thursday for getting her school dress stitched, but he dragged her inside the shop and raped her and ran away from the spot. The accused is yet to be nabbed.
