A K Sharma, DIG, said that on Wednesday mid-night, BSF troops observed some suspicious movement along the border security fence and simultaneously heard sound of a thud as if something has been thrown over the fence.

He said the troops immediately challenged the miscreants and fired in self-defence.

However, miscreants managed to flee taking the cover of darkness and standing wheat crop.   During search of the area on Thursday morning, 2-kg heroin and 3 Pakistani sim cards were found on the spot.
