A day after asking all Congress cadres to return to their homeland for campaigning, Congress leader and former chief minister Rajinder Kaur Bhattal, on Saturday,  began her campaign from Sardulgarh assembly segment of the district, but skipped speaking the name of Congress candidate from Bathinda Manpreet Singh Badal while speaking on the stage.

Bhattal, along with Congress legislator from Sardulgarh Ajit Inder Singh Mofar, addressed gatherings at Jhanduke, Meerpur Kalan villages of Sardulgarh and at Bhucho in Bathinda.

Though Jagmeet Brar was absent, but Bhattal claimed that Jagmeet would soon reach Bathinda and campaign for Congress candidate Manpreet Singh Badal.

Cunningly skipping the name of former Sanjha Morcha chairman-turned-Congress candidate Manpreet Badal, while speaking on the dais at Jhanduke village, she said, "Congress nu vote pao, Mofar de modhe naal modha jod ke challo, ate sade Congress candidate nu jitao."

She also urged the gathering to eat sweets, take money from the Akalis if they give to lure the voters but don't give your vote to them and instead vote for the Congress. "Eh (Akali) tuhanu paise vi den ge, Laddoo vi denge, tusi eh sab khalo, par vote na ehna nu pao. Vote tusi

Congress nu hi pao ate congress candidate nu jitao."

Accusing the SAD-BJP government of manufacturing drugs in Punjab and supplying them to the whole nation, she said, "The SAD-BJP government is manufacturing drugs worth `60,000 crore in Punjab and supplying them  to the whole nation. Majithia and other leaders are running the drug racket."

Comparing local MLA's son Bikram Singh Mofar with  Bikram Singh Majithia, she said, "On one side is our Bikram who is dedicated towards the people and, on the other side, the SAD-BJP has Bikram Majithia, who is supplying drugs to the youth."
