The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will be shocked, not just surprised, when the votes for Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhatisgarh, Delhi and Mizoram will be counted on December 9, union minister of state for information and broadcasting Manish Tewari has said.

It would be the beginning of the end of the "saffron party's misplaced euphoria and somebody's prime ministerial over-ambition", the minister told reporters on Friday on way to Sadul Shahar in Ganganagar district of Rajasthan to join the assembly election campaign of Congress candidate Jagdish Sharma.

Tewari said that the dreams of the BJP and its prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi would be shattered after the party got wiped out in the five assembly elections. On his party's prospects in the Punjab parliamentary elections, Tewari said: "The Congress will win all 13 seats."

"There's an impression across Punjab that Bathinda has developed after all the money was siphoned to this district; but seeing the situation here, I can make out the plight of the rest of Punjab," the Ludhiana parliamentarian added.
