Social activist Anna Hazare has called upon the people to elect honest and dedicated representatives for Parliament and Vidhan Sabha so that law makers could watch their interest and proper implementation of law.

Addressing a gathering here, Hazare said he was proud to start his Yatra from the land of the brave Punjabis who made supreme sacrifices in various freedom struggles and claimed of getting inspiration from them.

He called upon the people to be ready for the second freedom movement. The Gandhian said he will soon organise a Jan Sansad in New Delhi and formulate a strategy.

Large number of ex-servicemen and youths attended the Jantantra assembly.

Though Hazare always used to condemn the VIP culture at Moga, he was seen with high security cover which was provided by the Punjab government.

A great Sufi Saint from Ajmer Sharif, Jalani, General VK Singh, former Army Chief and noted journalist Santosh Bhartiya also addressed the gathering and were confident that Hazare would succeed in his mission of passing of the Lokpal Bill.

Wary Badal avoids mention of Modi govt

Possibly feeling that his speeches may be under close watch in view of the future of the political alliance between Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal avoided to make any mention of the newly formed Union government.
