Homage paid to 1962 India-China war hero

Homage was paid to the China war hero Subedar Joginder Singh of Mahla Kalan village in Moga district, a Paramvir Chakra awardee(posthumously), on Thursday.

The commemoration ceremony was organised by the 48th Infantry Brigade on his 51st death anniversary.

Late Subedar Joginder Singh was commisioned in 1st Sikh regiment.

Born in 1921, Singh joined the army in 1941 and fought bravely against the Chinese attack in 1962.

He was seriously wounded in the attack and later scummed to the injuries.
