Punjab Technical University's Giani Zail Singh campus organised a two-day 'Image processing workshop' in association with 'TECHKRITI 13', IIT, Kanpur, and i3 Indya Technologies, Noida, under the guidance of faculty coordinators.

The workshop was inaugurated by head of mechanical department, Charanjit Singh. About 80 participants from various streams of engineering colleges participated in it.

Experts from i3 Indya Technologies, Ashwani and Gaurav, imparted knowledge to students about image processing and its practical applications. Stressing upon the need of organising more such project-oriented workshops for students, campus director Jasbir Singh Hundal appreciated the initiative taken by the faculty coordinators for organising the workshop.

Two Badals go all out to claim political legacy

It is a war in the Badal family for claiming political legacy. Five years ago, when Bathinda MP Harsimrat Badal secured the highest lead of 68,000 votes from Budhlada assembly segment in this constituency, it was one of her own who helped her seal the lead to trump then Congress candidate Raninder Singh, son of former chief minister Capt Amarinder Singh, by over one lakh votes.
