NIC ranks Baba Farid group among top 9 e-governance institutes

Baba Farid Group of Institutes has been ranked among the top 9 top e-governance institutes of the country by the National Informatics Centre (NIC).

The group was among the 100 e-governance campuses of  institutes selected by the NIC eleven months ago.According to the performance report of the e-governance programme 2013-14, 9 institutes have been ranked as top e-governance campuses. Baba Farid group has been categorised under the 7th level, which is the highest level of engagement and found its place among top 9 campuses of India.

Briefing about the programme, chairman of the group Gurmeet Singh Dhaliwal said, "Our institute was given 'mission mode project' named 'e-district' and it performed exceptionally by giving superior contribution in its given project 'e-district'.

According to the contribution in the project, all the campuses were categorised between level 0 to 7 levels. It's worth mentioning that there are only two institutes that are in the 7th level and among the top 9 campuses."
