Panic in Moga secretariat as revolver goes off

Panic gripped the people in the mini secretariat on Wednesday when a .32 bore revolver went off suddenly.

According to official, one Balwant Singh, resident of Behremke near Kotise khan, arrived in the mini secretariat for his personal work. Before entering in the office he handed over his loaded licenced revolver to his friend and asked him to wait.

In the meantime the revolver went off suddenly and the shot hit the roof. Balwant Singh did not inform his friend that the weapon was loaded.

Police arrested Balwant Singh under section 188 IPC in violation of prohibitory orders. He was released on bail as the offence was bailable one.
