Punjabi Satkar Sabha hails move

After chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda announced formation of the Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee at Kaithal on Sunday, a wave of joy swept the Sikh community in Sirsa.

The Punjabi Satkar Sabha has congratulated the entire Sikh community of the state. Pardeep Sachdeva, president, Punjabi Satkar Sabha, said the Sikh community is happy after the announcement on formation of a separate committee for management of gurdwara in Haryana.

He hoped that after the formation of the HSPGC, the committee will also make efforts to promote Punjabi language, culture and literature.

In absence of canal water, tubewells used for irrigating wheat too
