Sukhbir to inaugurate Rs. 7-crore sewerage projects in Moga

Deputy chief minister Sukhbir Singh Badal would inaugurate a Sewage Treatment Plants (STP) constructed at a cost of Rs. 27 crore at Rajindra Estate, Bukanwala road, besides a newly constructed tehsil complex at a cost of Rs. 4.45 crore at Baghapurana on September 17.


Terming thses projects as major achievements for the development of the district, Jathedar Tota Singh said that this could free-up a lot of energy of the people for productive work.

The STP project has a capacity of 27 million litre per day and has been completed in 18 months by the Punjab Water Supply and Sewerage Board.

More than 1.5 lakh people would benefit from the project and the treated project would be used for irrigation.

The new tehsil complex had been established over three acres and included all facilities for general public like the offices of SDM, tehsildar, naib tehsildar, suvidha centre, court room, registration office, meeting hall, election and Sadar Kanungo office etc.
