Three killed in separate road mishaps

Three people were killed and four injured seriously in three separate road accidents on Sunday in this district. Sandeep Singh, 20, and Gurbakhshis Singh, 42, of Khambe village in the district were killed near Fatehgarh Panjtoor village, 40 kilometres from here when a tractor knocked them off their motorcycle on the Amritsar road, Jagtar Singh, station house officer (SHO) of Fatehgarh Panjtoor, has confirmed.

A case has been registered against the tractor driver, Harcharan Singh of Fatehgarh Panjtoor, who abandoned his vehicle and fled. Sonu Singh, 50, was killed and his friend Karamjit Singh, injured seriously when their motorcycle collided head-on with a canter near Ajitwal on the Ludhiana highway. Both are from Gajiwala village in Patiala district.

Vegetable seller Amritpal Singh of Kot Sukhia village in Faridkot district was also injured in a road accident.
