Youth murdered in Moga

A factory worker was reportedly murdered by unidentified people at Khosa Randhir village in Moga district on Sunday night, 12 km from here.


The deceased was identified as Harmail Singh, 24, of Khosa Pando village. SHO Rachhpal Singh of Kot-ise-Khan police station said some prominent people had informed the police regarding the body which was laid in the nearby fields of Khosa Randhir.

The deceased's brother Harpal Singh said his elder brother Harmail Singh worked at a juice factory in Salina village. "While he was returning home from the factory on Sunday evening some unidentified people attacked him with sharp edge weapons," Harpal Singh mentioned in his complaint.

SHO said, "We recovered the body and brought it to Dr Mathura Dass civil hospital, Moga, for autopsy. After the post mortem, the body was handed over to the family. We are investigating the entire matter and we will nab the culprits soon."

A case has been registered against the unidentified people under Section 302 of the IPC.
