To bring transparency in the admission process, Government College for Girls has decided to start online admissions for two courses. These two courses are: BCom and BSc (medical as well as non-medical).

This is the first time Government College is going for online-process. Talking to Hindustan Times, college principal Gurminder Kaur said, “This is for the first time we are starting with the online process for two courses. The idea is to make the process faster, and students will get all information online from our website. The merit list will also be updated online. If this process succeeds, we will start online admission process for all courses from the next year.”

We have 140 seats in BCom, 120 in BSc medical and 160 in BSc non-medical. The will prospectus will be available at the college from June 9 for 40.

The online admission process will also start from June 9.

However, on the other hand, SCD Government College has no plans to initiate online admission for any of their courses.

The prospectus will be available at college from June 6 onwards from 8am to 2pm. Rajinder Singh, said, “Last year we have sold around 17000 prospectus
with forms and this time we have ordered 18000. Further to tackle the rush we will set up three counters and there will be proper arrangement of drinking water and shade for the students. The last date to submit the forms is June 20 and we will start the admission process from July 2.”
