With ruling alliance partner, BJP, supporting the concerns of colonisers and business community on state government's policies- e-trip execution and penalty for regularisation of unauthorised colonies- deputy chief minister Sukhbir Badal on Monday categorically said that BJP is part & parcel of every decision taken by the ruling alliance.
Reacting on a query by media that whether the BJP was taken into confidence before implementation of key decisions on e-trip and policy for regularisation of illegal colonies, as the saffron parties is now advocating the concerns of agitating stake holders, Sukhbir said “before taking any decision, the issues were discussed in the cabinet meeting, in the presence of BJP ministers”.
“In the ruling alliance, some ideas come from BJP and some from SAD, after thorough discussion and reaching on a consensus, any decision is finally implemented”, Sukhbir, who was here to attend a police function, said.
“If you want to create differences among the ruling alliance partners, I will not allow it”, Deputy chief minister hastened to add.
It is pertinent to mention here that a high-level delegation of BJP led by its national vice-president Shanta Kumar on Sunday met chief minister Parkash Singh Badal to postpone implementation of the e-trip, which makes it mandatory for the manufacturers of six items including cotton, yarn, mustard, plywood, vegetable oil and iron and steel, to give detail of every transactions of more than Rs 50,000 on-line to the taxation department.
Even on the stern policy of regularisation of illegal colonies, implemented by the state government, BJP urged the chief minister to discuss it further before its execution.
Asked whether the state government would implement the Scheme under the Food Security Bill, ordinance, passed by the UPA government, Sukhbir said “Atta-Dal scheme is already implemented in the state in successful manner and Union Government has just copied it”.
“However, for implementation of Center's scheme of food, there was no discussion held on the issue in state's cabinet”, Deputy CM said while remaining non-committal on initiating the UPA's scheme under Food Security Bill.
