The historic pistol of legendary martyr Bhagat Singh has reached the headquarters of the Border Security Force (BSF) here from Indore and will be exhibited in a week at the BSF museum, Hussainiwala, 11km from here.

The pistol was requisitioned by the BSF and was brought to the Central School of Weapons & Tactics , Indore, on October 7, 1969, along with seven other firearms from the Punjab Police Academy in Phillaur, where it had been since 1944, three years before Partition, after being received from the officials in Lahore.

A senior BSF official said an order has been placed to prepare a ‘case’ to keep the pistol in the museum. “The case will be ready in a week and the weapon will be exhibited at Hussainiwala,” added the BSF official.
