Former chief minister Rajinder Kaur Bhattal on Monday buried the hatchet with Amritsar member of Parliament Amarinder Singh by saying that she had no problem with Amarinder contest the 2017 elections.
She also addressed a rally in favour of Congress candidate for Patiala Urban bypoll Preneet Kaur. "I wish my brother (Amarinder) the best luck and hope that he will reciprocate the gesture," said Bhattal.
Saying that all major decisions are taken by the high command, she said every congressperson in the state should unite and follow the directions.
"It is the high command which will decide who will lead in the 2017 polls," she added, refusing to comment on the Captain's leadership.
During a press conference, Bhattal charged the SAD-BJP for the poor fiscal health and law and order situation of Punjab.
Claiming that the current government will not continue for long, she remarked that the alliance would soon break as there were many issues which are creating problems between them.
A disunited government can never do any good for the people and this government will be out of power because of anti-people policies, she said.
She appealed to the people of Patiala to choose a candidate who had concern for the city and would work for people's welfare while referring to Preneet Kaur.
NSUI Punjab president Daman Kaur Bajwa was also present with Bhattal.
