The cycle parts association, United Cycle and Parts Manufacturer Association (UCPMA), would visit Germany to attend a three day Euro-bike show that would kick start on August 27. The main purpose of the visit is to explore the business oppor tunities with the European countries.
The delegates would visit several f actories apar t from the bicycle show to get firsthand information on the latest technologies in the cycle world. At least 45,000 visitors and 1,280 exhibitors from as many as 111 countries are expected to visit the Euro Bike Show.
Charanjit Singh Vishwkarma, president, UCPMA, said, “The delegates would get hands on experience on the advanced technologies being used in the developed countries. The purpose of the visit is to upgrade our technology to make the cycle industry in India competitive.”
“The tour will also help us to revive the cycle industry which will ultimately help us in increasing our exports, ”said Vishwkarma.
The increase in exports would also help generating more revenue that will ultimately reduce the trade deficit and improve the balance of payment position of the country.
