The World Punjabi Centre (WPC) and the Department of Music, Punjabi University, organised a musical evening "Wagde panian di gaika: Surinder Kaur" on its campus.

The evening was organised to mark the release of biography of the noted Punjabi singer, Surinder Kaur, "Wagde panian da sangeet", penned by her daughter, Dolly Guleria, by the vice-chancellor, Jaspal Singh.

The vice-chancellor announced to finance the project, to make an audio-visual film on Surinder Kaur in any format.
