The party’s general secretary, Saroj Pandey, will be in-charge of Chandigarh’s local elections.
The assembly polls are scheduled in Punjab early next year. BJP is in power in the state as a junior partner of the Shiromani Akali Dal and their alliance is locked in a tough battle with the opposition Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).
