Four days after the political scenario in the state changed with the BJP clinching seven Lok Sabha seats, state general secretary of the party, Manish Grover on Tuesday threatened to hold a dharna outside the house of Rohtak Congress MLA BB Batra if law and order situation did not improve in a week's time.

Grover, who has contested from Rohtak assembly segments as saffron party candidate has lost three times, accused Batra of failing to check the deteriorating law and order situation.

He said that incidents of dacoity, chain snatching, rapes, kidnapping and other heinous crimes have become commonplace in the city, but administration and police department have fared badly on keeping a check. He also charged police with showing more interest in money collection through issuing challans of vehicles than solving the real crime, which goes unchecked.

Training guns on Batra, he said while the crime rate is increasing, the Rohtak legislator is busy relaxing in the comfort of his home and office.
