Bharatiya Janata Party MLA from Shahpur constituency Sarween Chaudhary on Monday said she would complain the state party leadership about the incident where Congress leader “misbehaved and stopped” her from attending chief minister Virbhadra Singh's programme on Sunday.
“I will raise the matter during the state party meet slated for January 17,” said Chaudhary in press conference held here, adding that being a sitting MLA from Shahpur she had every right to attend the programme held in her assembly segment.
Congress leader from Shahpur and vice- chairman of forest corporation Kewal Singh Pathania allegedly asked Chaudhary to leave the stage during a programme held at Rulehad village in remote Dharkandi area of Shahpur.
“Though the CM had welcomed me for being present in the programme, Pathania asking me to leave the state and not attend the event was immoral conduct,” said Chaudhary.
Chaudhary added that all the developmental projects, which the chief minister announced for Shahpur area, were already in her MLA priority scheme 2011-12. “It was Pathania who misled the CM and made him announce these projects again,” she alleged.
The only woman legislator from Kangra district also produced papers to substantiate her claims. She alleged that the Congress after coming into power de-notified what previous BJP government had announced for Shahpur assembly segment.
“I have documentary proofs of all the projects, including irrigation channels sanctioned by previous government when I was a minister and re-announced by the chief minister,” said Chaudhary.
