As the election results in all five states would be announced on Sunday, senior BJP leader and former chief minister Prem Kumar Dhumal on Saturday said the party was sure to form its governments in four of the five states and inflict a crushing defeat on the Congress.

Dhumal said people of India had voted against the Congress due to its “anti-people” policies and trying to harm the cause of the nation on all fronts.

Sunil Sharma, general secretary of the state Congress, said the party would form its governments in all five states and the opposition would be routed badly.

He asked the opposition leader not to become so happy with the verdict and analysis of the TV channels as in the previous past, such predictions had been proved wrong and the Congress had won the elections with an ease all over India.
