Buoyed by the Bhatratiya Janata Party's landslide victory in the Lok Sabha polls, party workers on Friday distributed sweets and busted crackers at Mall Road here.

The celebration was led by district spokesperson Praveen Fakay, municipal council vice- president Chaman Kapoor and local BJYM chief Lakshmi Kant Thakur.

On the occasion, hundreds of local BJP workers gathered at the Mall Road and took out a victory procession there.

Jubilant BJP workers, drawn from various parts of the Manali assembly constituency, raised slogans: “Har Har Modi Ghar -Ghar Modi”. Local MLA Govind Singh Thakur congratulated the workers over the NDA's landslide victory led by Narender Modi.

In Himachal Pradesh, people were fed up by the Congress' misrule, and thus, gave a crushing defeat to the Congress , he added.
He said it was a “Tsunami of Modi”, which swept the polls all over the country.
