A gang led by an advocate that used to black mail people to mint money has filed more than 200 complaints against various people, including top police officials. In the investigation, the police have found that some of the complaints were filed against top police officials including police commissioner, additional deputy commissioner of police and others.

The police have found that the motive of filing complaints against the cops was to pressurise them for favouring them in the complaints that they had filed against others.

The police have also found that the accused had filed more than 20 complaints against a man. Moreover, the police have also found that advocate ND Sharma was the counsel of the complainants in all cases and other members of the gang were also witness in all complaints that they had filed.

It is pertinent to mention here that the Division Number 5 police station had booked the gang for filing forged complaints of molestation and attempt to rape against several people with intention to blackmail them, on November 1.

The police had booked advocate ND Sharma, Kulwinder Kaur, her daughter Prabhjot Kaur, sons Pritpal Singh and Kultar Singh, Manjit Kaur, Kamal Devi, Balvinder Singh, Gurdev Singh, Ratan Singh, advocates Mahinder Lal Tiwari and Dinesh Tiwari following the complaint of Joginder Kumar Miglani of Chandigarh Road.
