SAD-BJP nominee Pawan Kumar Tinu never leaves a chance to take a dig at Congress candidate Santokh Chaudhary for the alleged involvement of his brother Jagjit Chaudhary in Ludhiana Improvement Trust scam. Jagjit Singh is co-accused with former Punjab chief minister Capt Amarinder Singh, in whose government Jagjit occupied the post of the local bodies minister.

Not only this Santokh's younger brother Ravinder Chuadhary has announced to campaign for SAD candidate Pawan Kumar Tinu in the presence of deputy chief minister Sukhbir Badal.

Ravinder Singh, the elder brother of Santokh, has accused the Congress candidate of not giving his share of property from their paternal house located at Vijay Nagar locality in the city.

“I have specially come for the elections to make people aware about Santokh, who claims to be clean and honest. He has usurped my share of property which four of us brothers inherited from our father Chaudhary Gurbanta Singh,” Ravinder had said.

Ravinder said he had taken a pledge to defeat Santokh due to the harassment he faced at his brother’s hands. “Santokh was defeated when he contested the last two assembly polls on Congress ticket from Phillaur. I had exposed him before the public. I will leave no stone unturned this time as well,” he had said, while speaking to Hindustan Times.
