It was a captivating evening at Sutlej Club on Sunday as famous Bollywood singer Alka Yagnik performed live.

The evening organised jointly by the club and Starbizz India Entertainment left the audience enthralled. While performing, Yagnik praised Punjab, its people and the audience present for cheering her performance.

Some of the songs sung by her were ‘Kuch kuch hota hai’, ‘Tujhe yaad na meri aayi’, ‘Tip tip barsa’, ‘Ek do teen’, ‘Gazab ka hai din’, ‘Lal dupatta’, ‘Panchi nadiya’, ‘Aaja ve maahi’, ‘Aisi deewangi’ to mention a few.

Audience said such evenings played an important role in relaxing mind and added that listening to Bollywood singer like her was like a dream come true.

Gurpreet Kaur, a house wife, said, “It is a good effort by the organisers to host such show in city. I feel such events are important to beat the stress and anxiety in life.”

Later, Punjabi singer Chetan Rana and Kiran Kaur also performed.

Deputy commissioner Rajat Agarwal was the chief guest for the event.
