Some 20 uninvited Sikh men tried to put a stop to the wedding of a British Sikh bride with her Polish Christian groom.

The groom was wearing a red turban, according to the Sikh tradition, reported the Independent.

The irate Sikhs threatened the priest and asked him to end the wedding ceremony. They also insulted the people who objected them.

However, the police was called on the spot and the couple was compelled to proceed into a hurried wedding ceremony.

This was not for the first time when British Sikhs tried to stop a woman marring outside her religion. Many such cases have been reported before.
