BSF launches anti-drug campaign in Amritsar

The Border Security Force (BSF) on Wednesday launched an anti-drug campaign in border villages here, to bring awareness among the rural populace against misuse of drugs.

On the occasion, Inder Akal Bhatia, Commandant of 67th battalion said, ?Drugs not only enslave a person but hugely damages his family and society as such. BSF has taken a pledge to root out the evil not only from the border villages but also from Punjab.

BSF's 67th battalion also staged a play Shikhar Duphar Rataen,which attracted a large number of villagers including womenfolk. They pledged to eradicate the menace of drugs from their villages.

A medical camp was also held by the BSF to provide free medical aid and medicines.
