Employees of the All India Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) Executives' Association ended their protest on the third day in front of GMT office, Bharat Nagar Chowk, on Thursday.

The protesters have raised several demands, including the filling of posts of the chief managing director and other directors, stopping formation of subsidiary companies and merger of BSNL and Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL), procurement of equipment, merger of Bharat Broad Nigam Limited with BSNL, refunding Broadband Wireless Assess (BWA) spectrum charges to BSNL, recruitment of staff, and fixation of pension on 78.2% Industrial Dearness Allowance (IDA) among others.

Several employees gathered on the last day of the protest, and threatened to go on an indefinite strike from March 17, if demands of the forum were not accepted. They said the central government and the BSNL management would be responsible for it.
