Bharatiya Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) Employees Union Ludhiana staged a protest demonstration on Tuesday and criticised the Uunion budget presented on February 28.

Protest demonstration was held at Bharat Nagar Chowk.

Addressing the gathering, BSNLEU district secretary Balwinder Singh said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi government's first full year budget was presented in the Parliament on February 28.

"Huge concessions have been given to the schemes meant for the common people. At the same time severe cut has been made in the allotment of funds to the schemes meant for common people," Singh said.

He said the government was ruining the public sector at the cost of the corporate sector. He said their struggle would be intensified further opposing the anti-public policies of the Modi government to save the BSNL as well as the common people.
