The workers of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) on Sunday gheraoed Rama Mandi police station to protest against arrest of its worker

BSP worker Nathpal Dhilwan and his son were arrested for murdering Vicky at village Dhilwan on August16.

The workers raised slogans against Rama Mandi SHO Vimal Kant and demanded his suspension for falsely implicating the duo in the case.

BSP leaders Sukhwinder Kotli, Kamal Dev JanduSingha, Kewal Bhatti and others said that an inquiry should be initiated against role of SHO into the murder case. He said that it should be investigated that why the SHO reached the spot late even though he was informed about the clash by Nathpal's family.

They said that without informing the family members, the SHO registered a case against Nathpal and his son by making Raj Kumar Jhona a complainant, who is driver of Akali councillor Balvir Singh Bittu.

Later, ACP Som Nath reached the spot and pacified the agitators by promising a fair inquiry into the matter.
