Burglars decamp with goods worth Rs 12 lakh from electronic shop

A gang of burglars struck at an electronic showroom Bama Infotech at Kitchlu Nagar main road and decamped with laptops, mobile phones and other accessories. The activities of burglars have been videotaped in the CCTVs installed in the shop. The faces of burglars were clearly visible in the CCTV recording.

Showroom owner Naveen Verma, who is the general secretary of Council of RTI activists, handed over the recording of CCTVs to the PAU police station. The dog squad and forensic science team of police also struggled for the clues of the burglars. Showroom owner rued that he incurred a loss of Rs 12 lakh in the incident. The PAU police have registered a case against the unidentified burglars in this context.

Naveen Verma, a resident of Udham Singh Nagar said he had closed the shutters of the showroom at 9pm on Monday. On Tuesday morning the sweeper telephoned him when he saw that grills of shop's back gate were cut.

He said the burglars cut the grills of back door to enter the showroom and decamped with 20 laptops, 10 mobile phones and other accessories.

Verma said the burglars were three in numbers. Two of them entered in the showroom, while one remained outside to keep a tab that was too, videotaped in CCTV installed outside the showroom.

Sub-inspector Gurveer Singh, station house officer (SHO) at PAU police station said the police have initiated the investigation. He claimed that the police would arrest the accused very soon.
